Amador Foothill Sauvignon Blanc (Fume Blanc) 2006 - (USA) – “Citrus, grapefruit and exotic spicy aromas lead to balanced flavors of citrus, melon, herbs and tropical fruit.  Part of the wine was barrel fermented and sur lie aged to add a rich, velvety texture and a lingering finish.”  (winemaker’s notes)  88 points, Best Buy Wine Enthusiast
Amador Foothill Estate Bottled Sangiovese 2006 - (USA) – “The 2006 Sangiovese has vivid color and rich berry aromas with spice.  Strawberry, plum, and cherry fruit flavors are enhanced by a refined tannin structure, firm acidity, and a lingering finish.”  (winemaker’s notes) 86 points Wine Enthusiast 2009
Amador Foothill Clockspring Zinfandel 2007 - (USA) – “Lush cherry and spicy aromas lead to rich cherry and raspberry fruit flavors accented with black pepper.  Well-balanced, with ripe tannins and a lingering, velvety finish, the wine can be enjoyed by itself or with food.”  (winemaker’s notes)
Tempus Alba Tempranillo 2007 - (Argentina) – “This Tempranillo was born as a result of a precise fermentation process control, a long maceration of 28 days and 6 months of ageing in oak barrels.  It has a dark red colour, with strong and complex aromas.  Dark fruit flavours, soft attack, well-balanced, and with intense tannins typical of this variety.  Our oenologist highlights the presence of cinnamon and a hint of vanilla marked by wood.  With good finish, smooth and persistent.”  (website tasting notes)
Digger’s Bluff  Stray Dog Grenache Shiraz Mataro 2006 - (Australia) – “A bright red colour with a lightly perfumed nose of raspberry and sour cherry.  Light to medium weight with dusty, slightly chalky tannins, crisp acidity and finishing with hints of raspberry, clove and a touch of menthol.  A pleasant, easy drinking wine.”  (winery tasting notes)
