Digger’s Bluff Stray Dog Grenache Shiraz Mataro 2006

“A bright red colour with a lightly perfumed nose of rasberry and sour cherry.  Light to medium weight with dusty, slightly chalky tannins, crisp acidity and finishing with hints of raspberry, clove and a touch of menthol.  A pleasant, easy drinking wine.” (wine tasting notes)  I did find the Digger’s Bluff Stray Dog Grenache Shiraz Mataro 2006 (Australia) to be a very easy drinking wine and could distinguish the notes of berries but as far as cloves and menthol I think it would require a finer palate than mine to taste them.
