Varieties: ‘Six Vines’ is a blend of all of the traditional (and permitted) varieties used in Bordeaux red wines and Meritage. Tasting Note: This medium bodied wine displays cassis, blackberry, cherry and dried herb aromas. The palate is broad and sweet showing cherry and cocoa flavors. The tannins are well integrated and fairly soft. The finish is long and smooth. GOLD MEDAL WINNER AT 2009 ALL CANADIAN WINE CHAMPIONSHIPS.”  I’ve also include a link to the tasting notes for the 2008 vintage.  We won’t know until tomorrow which vintage we are receiving.
St. Hubertus Fireman’s Red – a wine from the North Okanagan Valley
Alain Brumont – Argile Rouge- A French wine made from the Tannat varietal.  It is described in the website as:   “The Tannat produces dark wines with discreet and powerful fruit, deep wines always well-balanced that beat all longevity records.”
Raats Cabernet Franc – A full bodied South African – described on the website as:  “A sexy, luscious Cabernet Franc that is the definition of elegance. Harmoniously integrated flavours of blackberry, black cherry and plum mingle with tobacco, cinnamon and spice. Tannins are soft and gentle on the palate, and hints of dark choclate and minerality on the long finish. A wine gently crafted with great love, and to be enjoyed the same way.
“I trembled with expectation when this wine was poured into my glass and then almost collapsed in joy when it gave me everything I was hoping for. Phew.” - Matthew Jukes’ Top 50 from Cape Wine 2008″
Graham Beck Cabernet Sauvignon -  Another wine from South Africa, described as:  “Deep, ruby red in colour with chocolate and ripe berry fruit and hints of mint and cigar box notes on the nose. Full bodied with juicy mulberry and cherry flavours and spice on the palate.  Soft but firm tannins with a balanced mouth feel and a long finish.”
Graham Beck Shiraz - This wine is described on the website as:  “Ripe mulberry, blueberry and white pepper on the nose with layers of fruit, rich tannins and oak complexity on the palate.”
Old & Rare Macallan Sherry Finished 30 yr Scotch – The Glenfiddich 30 yr old is currently out of stock, both in the store and the Connect Logistics warehouse.  It sounds like it could be a while before it is back in stock and so until then we thought we’d give you the opportunity to try something different.  This scotch is deep mahogany in colour with flavours of dried fruit, sherry, orange and wood smoke.

Belgian Floris Kriek beer – this is a cherry fruit beer brewed in Belgium.  Kriek (pronounced ‘creek’) is a style of Belgian beer, made by fermenting lambic with sour Morello cherries.
